Save money by using low tariff night-time electricity for clothes washes, tumble dryers and dishwashing machines. By getting into a routine of timing the washing and drying to come on in the middle of the night your bills will reduce significantly so long as you have a dual rate tariff (easily organised in 10 minutes through your electricity provider).
Immersion heated water can also be heated using timing switches. Timing switches are simple cheap to buy and simple to use – great value!
